From May 9 to 16, 2026, the capital of Uzbekistan, the majestic city of Tashkent, will host one of the most prestigious stages of the World Cup in Draughts-64. The international competition "Uzbekistan-2026" promises to be a bright event in the intellectual calendar of the year, bringing together the best grandmasters and young talents of the planet.
About the tournament and organization
The competition is held under the auspices of the International Draughts Federation (IDF) in conjunction with the Uzbekistan Draughts Federation. It is an official rating tournament, the results of which are taken into account when awarding international titles.

The tournament is held according to the Swiss system in 7–9 rounds using a micro-match system of two games with a draw of the starting moves and positions.
Historical Reference
In recent years, Uzbekistan has become one of the main centers of development of draughts-64 in the world. Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Sports of the republic, the Tashkent stages of the World Cup are famous for their hospitality and high level of competition. Previously, such stars as Gavriil Kolesov, Andriy Valiuk, Mazhit Sarshayev and Artem Tikhonov became winners and prize-winners here.

Participants and terms
Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of gender and rating, provided that the application is submitted on time and the tournament fee is paid.

Age categories: In addition to the overall standings, the best among juniors (U27, U20), boys and girls (U17, U14, U11) are determined.

Prize Fund: Is not less than 2100 US dollars.

Importance: The winners in the absolute standings receive the right to participate in the 2027 European Championship, as well as the opportunity to fulfill the norms of international grandmaster and master.
