About the tournament: Three disciplines, one champion
This year's U12 championship is comprehensive and covers all three major chess disciplines:
-
Classical Chess (May 1–8): The main part of the championship. It requires maximum concentration, deep strategic thinking, and endurance. Each round can last several hours.
-
Rapid game (Rapid, May 9): A dynamic format where time is limited (usually 10-15 minutes + addition). Mistakes are more costly here, and decisions are made instantly.
-
Blitz (May 10): The fastest and most spectacular form of chess. The entire game takes only a few minutes. It is a real test of intuition and reaction speed.
This format allows you to identify the most versatile players who are able to show high results in different conditions.
