Period: April 16 – April 26, 2026

This spring, the heart of Central Asia, the ancient and eternally young Tashkent, will become the arena for one of the most important intellectual events of the year - Asian Draughts Championship 2026. This is a large-scale draughts competition that brings together the best masters of the continent to determine the champions in various disciplines.

Historical Reference

The Asian Championships are held under the auspices of the Asian Draughts Confederation (ADC), which unites more than 30 national federations. The first major continental tournaments began to develop actively in the late 1990s. Uzbekistan has repeatedly hosted prestigious draughts forums (in 2013, 2017, 2019, 2022 and 2024), which confirms the country's high status as one of the world centers for the development of this sport.

Venue and infrastructure

The competition will be held in the capital of Uzbekistan - Tashkent.

  • Location: The official venue and accommodation for the participants was the Le Grande Plaza Hotel. This is a modern hotel complex in the city center, which has all the necessary infrastructure for holding international tournaments.

  • Tourist attraction: Tashkent combines the grandeur of Silk Road architecture (such as the Kukeldash Madrasah) with modern parks and wide avenues. April is the perfect time to visit, when the city is awash in the blossoming of fruit trees and roses.

The prize fund is formed from registration fees and sponsorship funds and is distributed among the winners in all main categories.
