1. Flawless Move Validation – FIDE Rules on Guard!

The heart of qBoard 2.0 is the integration of the powerful chess.js library, which provides full automatic validation of moves according to the official FIDE rules. Forget about random mistakes or doubts about the correctness of a move - the qBoard 2.0 system uncompromisingly monitors compliance with all rules.

  • Validation Features:

    • Castling: Note that castling is done through king notation (e.g., Ke1-g1 for short castling), not rooks. This is an intuitive approach that simplifies the process.

    • Passing capture: This element of chess tactics is now fully implemented and automatically recognized by the system.

    • Draw Recognition: qBoard 2.0 can detect all major types of draws, ensuring fair and accurate play: Stalemate, Impossible to Checkmate (lack of material), Repeated Position, and 50 Move Rule.

2. Reliable Game Storage and Online Functionality (For Registered Users)

Your games are now completely safe! All games are stored directly on the server, which guarantees their availability from any device.

  • Personalized Experience:

    • Create and Manage Boards: Registered users can create new boards, storing up to 10 active games at a time (of all types). This allows you to have multiple games in progress without losing progress.

    • Challenge Players: Easily invite an opponent by their username or post a free request to find a worthy opponent.

    • Browse Games: Want to follow your friends' games or analyze other people's strategies? qBoard 2.0 lets you browse other games by title.

    • Limit Management: Reached the 10-board limit? Simply delete the old game to make room for a new one. The delete feature is only available to players participating in that game.

    • Free Games Selection: Join open games waiting for players.

3. Technical Power: PHP and Server Storage

Developed in PHP, qBoard 2.0 provides stable and efficient operation. The program's architecture with a focus on server-side data storage guarantees the reliability and security of your chess adventures.
